Hey! Thanks for all the help when i was starting out.

As for the plants that i have in this tank: Riccia is on the driftwood, rotala in the left corner, glosso in the front, pearlweed in the midground.

for my setup (betta, platies, neon tetras and one of those otinculus or whatever they're called) will i need a heater?

also, i'd rather use sand as opposed to gravel. is there anything i should know about using sand? im gonna be using an eclipse system 12 with the biowheel.

i'd love to have live plants but i think i should stick to trying to keep my fish alive before i try to throw plants in the mix :happysad:

Yes, you are going to need a heater (50 watt).


If you want to try live plants go with some anubias (nana) or java fern plants. They are fairly hard to kill.

Just do a search or look them up in the plant guide here... http://www.plantgeek.net
