Default How do you interview a new boss?

So, oddly, I have to interview a couple of people who are applying to be my supervisor. I thought that normally the boss 2 levels up would be interviewing the boss 1 level up, but I guess they want my feedback. I just found this out and I'm supposed to meet with the first candidate on Monday afternoon. Here's the job posting from our website:

JOB SUMMARY: Supervises Clinical Research Unit (CRU) research staff responsible for implementing clinical research projects. Collaborates with Investigators on assessing research feasibility and identifying resource requirements. Adheres to all CRU policies and procedures and ensures adherence to federal and local regulations governing research and good clinical practices. Maintain and support a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity. Responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance for CRU Clinical Trials. Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and performs in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, external laws and accreditation standards as they relate to CRU Clinical Trials

How do you interview someone who could be your future boss? What are some good questions to ask? I'll have a couple of my coworkers there as well, so I'm not going to have to run this whole interview by myself, but I'd like to sound intelligent and knowledgeable for a change.

Cliffs: I have to interview a couple of people who are applying to be my supervisor, what are some good questions?

i need to know their personality. I can't stand a boss that's in your face and hyperactive. I like the people I work with to be easy going, calm, laid back, but hard working.

i had to do the same thing in december. just like derek said, find out his/her people management skills, project management, and overall capabilities for the role. it's also important to know if he/she is willing to get their hands dirty and not just delegate assignments.

exactly, you don't want someone who delegates most of their work, then micromanages to make sure it's done. :a:

but in the end... just choose the one with the biggest tits. :joshers:

The first question i'd ask him/her, would be, how often are you going to see that i get a pay raise?

Well, both applicants so far are female, but unfortunately both are nearly forty. A little old for my 23yo self.

And I just got a raise like two weeks ago, so I don't know if I'll be eligible again for a while. h:

So a couple of ideas:
How would you describe your management style?
and
How active of a role would you take in project management?
