In my case though, it worked for me.

what is? it's a fact that it doesn't work all the time and you can ruin pixels near the one you're trying to rub.

chill out? you're the one that keeps pushing the issue. you said it was my word against his as if pitting that person (which I haven't read) against me.

maybe you are reading too much into my posts. they are posted with no emotion so read them that way. If I wanted to express my emotion I use a smilie or two.

Regardless, I don't feel that the "don't apply pressure" can actually be followed, because even with screen cleaning cloths/tissues, some kind of pressure has to be applied.

Well, the impression I got from your post was that no kind of pressure could be applied at all. I wasn't trying to be petty.

Anyways, if you're talking about a pixel, and it's red, green, or blue, that means it's a stuck pixel, and can be rubbed out. In case you didn't know though, it's generally not a good idea to leave a laptop on all of the time, just because there's very little space in there and it heats up easier than a normal desktop would.
yes standby mode, aqnd its not a pixel..its just like dust on the screen that wouldnt come off by simple rubbing...and i had my other laptop on ALL the time, and i know about the heat, and it was fine...dont worry i just wanted to see if i could use water or no liquid on the screen
