**ATTN** Motorcycle Gurus!!
I am in need of some help. I am looking to purchase a motorcycle in the near future and am having a hard time searching as I do not know much about it.
My criteria are as follows:
- used and < $5,000
- not expensive to insure, I know the price usually correlates to the size of the motor. Smaller motor = less to insure? I've heard of guys only paying $600/year for their bikes and are 23/24 years old.
- I want a bike that is relatively fast; nothing rediculous, and can handle very well. I live in back country and the windy twisty roads here would be great for a good handling bike.
- I want it to look good, nothing older than 2000
-fuel injected
I've looked at the following bikes through recommendations handed down to me:
- Buell
- Yamaha FZ series
- Yamaha YZF series
- Kawasaki Ninja series
- Triumph Daytona and Spirit
How are Honda bikes? And Suzuki?
Can someone please help a dude out. It would be much appreciated. I am new to the scene and want to get into the sport.
Thanks in advance.

Is this your first bike i suppose? Do you know how to ride a bike.
Suzuki Sv650. I heard from alot of people its an excellent bike to start out on
as i first bike i would not reccomend a 600cc bike. I used to work at a bike shop and we would see wrecked 600's come in all the time from beginner riders.

Yes, it'll be my first bike. No I've never driven a bike before. Why are 600's not a good idea.
I know you don't know me that well man, but if you're implying 600 is too fast for me, not to worry. I have great self control when it comes to speed n shit.
Otherwise, explain why you feel 600 is too much? Weight?

I would definitley reccomend a 600 as a starter bike and I personally don't even look at anything over the 600 - 650cc range, and I have been riding for some time now.
I wouldn't however reccomend the R6 as a first bike but do as you wish.
The bikes you listed are all good bikes but I would stay away from the Buell and the Triumph just for reliability factor. I also suggest you look at used bikes over new, because you are going to drop it (everyone does) and its easier to walk off a used bike being dropped than a new one

He still hasent came out of a coma yet

Yeah its not as aggressive as most sport bikes but still is a bike that is very capable and in the 650 range.
