that's still pretty damn cheap with our cost of living here. 600k will get you a 2 bedroom house. from the looks of your pictures, im guessing at 4-5 bedrooms and over 3000 square feet? all that land can add up to 2-3 million for the house and yard here.

yeah but the pay there is better. It just all depends. Our property is nearing 1 million, but land is cheaper where we are, and we also had the house custom built.

Around here something like that goes for no more than 300k. If I recall one of my dad's friends sold a 5 bedroom house, 6500sq ft, 2 car garage, on the lake @ $450,000.

You're in California, any place is cheaper. 600k will buy you an amazing house here. Some fully restored or well kept up mansions in the old Delaware district, complete with servant quarters and carriage house. h:

i wouldnt say the pay is better. the pay is trying to keep up with the cost of living. our mininum wage here is $6.75. in certain counties, it is up to about close to $9.00. our sales tax is 8.75%, our gas is already $3 /gallon and rising. 50 year old houses are still selling for over $600K. /rant.

i should move h:
