If its a P99, then its gonna be one of the S&W made ones. They get pretty good reviews, and are a decent weapon from what I've heard. You'd have to find out exactly what you're getting with the gun. That price seems high for a used gun. If it includes mags, holsters, and some other stuff, it won't be too bad, but you could probably do better than that.

I have a Beretta M9, and I love how it shoots. I used one a couple of times in the military, and then right after I got out, my dad gave me one as a present....

He was like here is your thank you gift for serving us and your country....
