I just think that he needs to be sure he actually purchased something before making a thread saying he did. h: I keed.

The '05 is newer and revised. 10 additional horsepower, larger better looking wheels, etc. Nothing wrong with the '04 but for the price he paid, he could spend just a little more and get brand new. 20k was probaly what they were asking but I could definitely talk them down to at least 17,500-18.

I know that the 05s are "newer and revised", but if thats not what he wanted then so be it. Why do people go buy 5th gen civics when they can get an 05 for a few more grand?

It's what he wanted..let him enjoy it.

3k under blue book from a dealer? I seriously doubt it.

Well, here's the goofy part. Price isn't set yet. They WERE asking $22,420, I got employee discount price of $20,800 because I used to work there. Final price negotiation is tomorrow so I'm going to try to get it into the $19,000 range, which will be a full $5,000 off new.

And for $5,000 off I can get more than 10HP difference and 1" bigger wheels.

Although I do agree the 17's are hot. h:

And how much more would you have spent over a track model? 6piston big brake kit and bigger brakes is not always better for braking and performance.

Well..good luck on the negotiations. I can't believe that they were trying to sell that for $22k though.
