If I truly wanted an '05 I probably would have gotten one, but I'll be saving close to $500 every 6 months by buying a slightly used one which, at my age, just made more sense.

Don't worry, maybe I'll go out and buy a 2005 350Z and ask why you didn't just get new.

1)How much is your interest rate? I guarantee that a new car would have been cheaper. Plus you know where those 17k miles have been if you put them on yourself.
2)My Z was purchased in Feb 05, last of the '04's and............IT WAS BRAND NEW. h: There was no difference in specs from '04 to '05 either for the model i chose.
