He wasnt getting any younger :dunno: If he was boxing for 20+ years and still hasnt moved up from where he started... IMO its time to move on to other things. Not to be generalizing or anything, but he always seemed to take the easy way out and use his kids as a scapegoat :dunno: Thats how I observed it.

I don't think anyone doubts that he worked hard. I'm sure all the fighters on the show have worked hard and have gone through a lot. And almost all of them have had my respect. The reason people are making light about Bonsante's loss is because of the way he played the game. Almost everyone so far has shown integrity and a drive to face challenge head on. Bonsante on the other hand just showed that he wanted to win at any cost..."for his kids". Because as long as you tack on the disclaimer that it's for your kids, it's okay to lie and take the easy way out of every situation huh? I don't think so. IMHO, he wouldn't have won the competition. So with that in mind, he could have at least shown his kids an example of facing adversity with your head up, rather than weaseling your way to a million dollars. But everyone's life lessons are different and I won't doubt that other than that, he could very well be a great father.

IMO, a seasoned/older fighter who should have stayed on the show was Tarick. I think it's pretty whacked that he lost to Juan only to have Juan realize that he can't handle it and leave. At least he was grateful for the opportunity and left the show deserving much respect.

I myself have been boxing for 18 years now and wasnt laughing at his ability on his quote at the end of the fight. I guess since I was trained more to think during a fight I saw the fight from a total different aspect. I truly believe that if Bosante kept with his boxing state of mind he would of maybe won but since he threw that out of the window and went crazy and tired himself silly all Jesse had to do was wait. That's exactly what I was waiting for. I know from experience what adrenaline does to you in that situation but controlling it brings you to the next level.

You should see what happens when people spar with me, they get really frustrated because they can't hit me for 2 reasons: 1-I used to study Kempo for 8 years so I parry very fluently. and 2- I am right handed but stand south paw but I can parry and hit with equal effectiveness in both stances. So when I spar I hardly hit them until they tire themselves and their arms hurt from getting parryed too much and their forearms start to ache.

I change my vote for best fight ever... tonight was the best fight. I had so much emotion in this one. i didnt want either one to lose but i wanted alfonso to win it. it just seemed like he wanted it the most and needed it the most. and earlier for whoever said alfonso and peter were going to be in the final... i hope you caught tonights episode. but hey i said it would be alfonso and jesse in the final so im in the same boat. But i still think jesse is going to win the whole thing.

I wonder who the contender that the people voted to bring back will be. Last time i checked it was going to be joey.. he was holding the vote with 21%, second place had like 12%. So i voted for ISHE about 10 times. hope that helped.

But yeah contender w00t w00t

Yeah, tonight was definitely the best fight. 7 rounds of pure brutality, especially the final round. At the beginning of the show, I thought Manfredo was the man to beat...but then he lost to Alfonso. As of late, I thought Alfonso was going to win the whole thing....Manfredo is fighting really well right now, and I think he's going to fight Jesse in the final.

What a fight tonight...

point wise it was pretty close but peter was the one landing more punches.

I voted to bring Jeff back since we never got to see him fight, I heard he has pretty heavy hands as well.

Joey come back? I dont think he will because of his injuries, his gash above his eye and then a broken rib. Peter must be a hard puncher because after he beat Joey and Fonzo their faces were so damn swollen compared to other fights.

All in all I think Peter's lesson with Dundee really helped him out, I noticed his jab was more snappy and sometimes he was moving out of the way more.

I can't wait to see Jesse fight next week. He is very  I was kinda hoping that Alfonso would win last night, but Manfredo really worked it. I would kill to see the final fight at Caesars.

Especially if Jesse is there :rick:

Is something going on here that HAN should know about?

Last night's fight was awesome! It was good to see Peter show what he can do. You could see the experience he has when he fought. Seeing those after shots and interviews with Alfonso his face was all swollen up I was like The fight in Vegas is going to be bad ass that's fo sho.
