imports are a bitch to work on,..especially hondas,..thats why all the work that people have my shop do i secretly send their cars to my mechanic h:

SImple as crap....you can literaly complete a motor swap with little knowledge....Hell I just did my first Swap last year :chuckles:

you know. i've never done a motor swap before, but when i did my first one on a Honda is just remove the engine mount bolts, disconnect hoses/harnesses, pull axles out of transmission/intermediate shaft, lift.

so you removed it with the exhaust manifold, cat, piping all intack huh? should have given some of your technique to fuji :chuckles:

My del Sol has been taken completely apart. I agree with the fuel filter thing. It's mounted inline at the rear of my VW. Other than that, my VW has also been easy to work on, but I can tell that more thought was put into the making of the hondas. I will say this though, my 89 civic kinda sucked to work on.

I do all maintenance on my own car except stuff I lack the equipment for (i.e. allignment, mounting tires). I've done pretty much everything short of assembling a motor or tranny, never thought anything was particularly difficult or complicated. The biggest problem I run into is siezed bolts and whatnot... nothing technical.

I highly reccomend you get yourself a FSM or helms and DIY... fairly easy, very rewarding, much cheaper than idiot mechanics.
