Any gun experts?
the best handgun is the one that feels the best in your hands and you can control the best.
go to the range with some spare money and rent a few handguns after feeling some in your hands to see which one YOU prefer.

By the way, do you know what size of a 9mm you want? Do you want something full size, something compact, something for concealed carry? If you let us know what size frame you're looking for, we can point you in the right direction for what to look at.

First question, what are you using it for? Just to have a gun to go shooting occasionally, or to carry. There are a lot of nice weopons out there.
IMHO, the Airwweight S&W .38 is the best to carry, compact, shrouded hammer, revolver so their will be no jams. That is what I bought for the wife to carry, after extensive research.
If it is for home defense, buy a shotgun, not a pistol

Did this guy disappear on his own thread?
BTW, completely off topic. Do any of you guys own guns that are finicky? I was shooting my PPK/S yesterday, and I've noticed that when I shot the Federal Hydra-shocks that I carry in it, it shot perfectly. I shot two boxes of American Eagle, and it was misfeeding every 4 shots or so. Then I put a box of Winchester target ammo through it and not one misfeed for the whole box. Anyone else have a weapon that is like that...that it only likes certain types of Ammo?

Some guns are finicky like that, mine's not really - some reloaded ammo I bought had a nose dive or two, out of 500 rounds but hey, if you can do fine with the W.whitebox ammo, thats the cheapest stuff out there
actually come to think of it, I did have 3-4 failure to feed when I had 600 rounds of American Eagle.
try polishing your feed ramp, seemed to fix my problem.
