By the way, what the hell is the A-Spec point system for, and what the hell is B-Spec? And how do you utilize either one of them?

I have a ton of A-Spec points and like 14 B-Spec points, but I have no clue how I got the B-Spec points, nor what to use them for.

(Or the A-Spec points use for that matter)

Someone enlighten me!

A-Spec is regular driving which you are obviously doing. The points simply unlocks shit.

B-Spec is when you are directing another driver through a race...and IMO this is useless other than for long races.

A-Spec points do not unlock anything AFAIK. Cars are unlocked by simply winning the race, tracks are unlocked based on the passing of game days from what I have read.

A Spec points - Each race is worth a certain amount of points. Normal races are worth a max of 200, while the mission hall races are worth a maximum of 250 each. However, if you decide to use your Dodge Viper against a track full of Civics, your possible points per race drops off sharply.

Basically the A-Spec points system is there to help even the playing field. But, you can use your Viper against four-bangers with no consequence, other than less points.

Now let's say you race the game and you win 100 points. Then you race the exact same race again and only get 70 this time. This does not total out to 170, you only receive 100. You have to do better to get more points. Then let's say the third time you do the race, you get 150. This time you only get 50 points toward your 200 (or 250) on top of the 100 you got the first time, because you did better.

B-Spec points are garnered when you let the AI drive the race for you. There is no real set way of gaining points this way. Basically these points reflect the "experience" your AI driver has gained. The more you B-Spec the more he "learns" and the points go up. The more B-Spec points you have the faster and more accurate your AI guy will drive.

Clear as mud?
