There's your answer. Case closed.

the svt isnt as tough as it's name has given it, i believe that ford ist doing everything in it's hands to make it a real SVT vehilcle like the mustang or lightning

they are more worried about eviromental issues with the focus

don't get me wrong, it will keep up with some... but it's really just meant to feel fast.. think accord with SOHC vtec(5th or 6th gen)... it's got enough to keep people happy, not really enough to do anything tho

Ahh so now this makes sense.

You kicked his ass in the 1/4 mile even though your cars are relatively evenly matched. That means your buddy wasn't exactly displaying massive amounts of driving skill at the time, or perhaps he just can't drive at all. So then in response to getting creamed, he made up a buncha crap about his car having the vehicular equivalent of pixie dust in it. Something along the lines of "okay well you beat me at the strip but my car has awesome magical autocross powers!"

Tell him you trust him the car is fine enough but its driver could use a little improvement. :chuckles:

So would it and the Type R be on the same level as far as suspension work goes?

You are trying to compare a car you don't have that has one of the best suspensions on a stock FWD car versus a Ford Focus with MacPherson struts. One that has an LSD STOCK vs a peg leg car.

I've seen some people asked to leave at autocrosses. They were just driving on course like morons.
