But if you want to make his day, tell him "yes, I am scared of his 15-second car".

you are asking a question which can't be answered. autox is 90% driver 5% luck and 5% others.

in my region the type-R driver won the regional in his class, but that doesn't mean the SVT focus sucks, it simply means the driver of the type-r was better.

Hey Rick, If I myself were to enter an autox, what do you think the first thing they'd do to kick me out????????

well considering I've never seen anyone ever kicked out of an autox I don't know

but I'll tell you one girl in an AE86 came close to getting kicked out. she was yes drifting most of the corners, which is fine, but on the last corner the would do a 180 and finish backwards. the autox chair person at first thought it was from inexperience until she did it 4 times in a row (in other words in all of her runs). he has some words with her after that but didn't kick her out for good.

and for the leg humpers she wasn't hot.

Just based on 1/4, heres the story:

2000 ITR: 14.8@ 98 (6.2 0-60) According to Motortrend
2000 S2000: 13.8@ 100 (5.2 0-60) According to Motortrend
2003 SVT Focus: 15.9@ 89 (7.7 0-60) According to Car & Driver

Your friend must be on some really strong stuff :bandito:

autox courses change each time, there's no set magical rule that says he will win everytime. he might win one race and then someone else might win the next one.

Your friend is full of crock!

A fully modded Focus with a super high center of gravity versus a fully modded S2000 or ITR? Right. What planet is he living on?

If all cars had the same bolt ons the ITR (with a LSD) or the S2000 which is RWD would run circles around the Focus.

Even at an autocross you can tell which cars are faster than others by what stock class they are in. S2000 = AS, ITR = DS, Focus SVT = GS, Focus = HS. AS being the next fastest group and HS being the slowest group.
