Morning stretch=bad for your health
When I woke up this morning, I sat up in my bed and did my morning stretch. While stretching I heard and felt a pop on the left side of my neck and now I've got this pain over there that won't go away. Feels like when you sleep wrong and wake up and have a hard time turning ur neck to one side. WTF???
Probably something in your back. Last week I was picking up my daughter and had the same pop. Later that night my shoulders were in dire pain. I was popping Bayer Back and Body and it wasn't working. THen I picked her up again 2 days later and got the same pop and the pain went away.

Maybe I should stretch again:dunno:
Yeah, you need to get your blood flowing first. If you run in place for at least a minute that should be good, and then you need to do some rotations with the muscles you plan to stretch to get some of the muscle fluid (or synovial fluid) flowing.
And I forgot to mention that at this point you should probably just take it easy. Don't do the thing that hurts and just let it heal.
It'll probably bother you for like a day or two, but it goes away. Just try to avoid doing that particular thing.

I do it all the time. Should go away in a day or two, if not already. Ice and heat, alternating should help it. And from now on, be careful when stretching, especially if it's when you first wake up. Your muscles don't have the juices they need flowing yet, when you first wake up plus the fact that their cold and tired still.
