and it's not bound to have better games than the DS, not only does the DS have huge 3rd party support, but Nintendo make the best games (IMHO) themselves.
Not to get in your cookies and all , but this is the same argument you gave me while having a GC vs PS2 vs XBX conversation. Still there are no good games for the GC and still the games for the GBA are mediocre kiddie games at best.

The DS does have amazing graphics and technology but I can wait to see if Nintendo actually does anything with it or if it is just another scam to get your money and leave you dry.

no, the GC doesn't have good third party support (and IMO, doesn't need it), but still has the best games out of the 3 console systems. And out of all the current available systems, GBA has the most excellent titles.

alot of people are comparing the DS to PSP. the DS isn't the replacement for the GBA which they are still developing. Sony is trying to compete with the DS. Sony has no experience with making handheld videogames period you can't argue that fact. Nintendo has years of experience of what works and not. this is almsot testing waters for them. I bet the new ninteno handheld will most likely own the PSP if not be it's equal and it will just end up being a choice of preference. That's really how i think it will be for future consoles. The graphics are going to be so amazing and so realistic it's a matter of what game that is *exclusive* to that console do you want.

as far as XBox vs. PS2 vs. GC. sorry to say but PS2 owns this. in the end Microsoft made a huge mistake and there just gonna keep losing money in the long run. It's a damn computer. i know so many people who buy a new hard drive and put games from all other consoles on it. they don't spend a dime. which means no money in microsofts pocket. they don't make there money back in selling consoles. they make it back in selling games. Nintendo is the most profitable in this category. an example would be think of all the people in the US who will own GT4 and Halo 2, and the new 3D Zelda going to come out. Not every person that owns GT4 and Halo2 will have paid for it. and i can think of all the people by me who dont pay for PS2 and Xbox games. then add all that up with the rest of the people who don't pay for xbox and ps2 games and thats alot of money Sony and Microsoft is losing. comapred to where Nintendo did it's hmework to fight against piracy and how many people do yo uknow own burned gamecube games? if you do i bet you can count them all on one hand. so every game they make they know that everyone who onws that game that money is going to them as well as the developer of the game(if it was not developed by Nintendo).

On top of that Xbox is selling like shit in Japan compared to PS2 and Gamecube. but still this generation console war PS2 won and owned it. for the next consoles Microsoft will most likely profit the mpost first as it will be releasing it's console first before Sony and Nintendo who aren't in much of a rush to release it by 2005. this is where i think Microsoft is making a mistake. by rushing to release a whole year early so quickly is could be dreadful in the future where that gives Sony and Nintendo a year to make their system specs outperform Xbox 2.

i'v noticed. all videogame magazine's webistes are a little doubtful about the PSP. most of the games planned for it are ports. while all you hear form fanboys are, ohhh look at the graphics that owns DS. not saying anybosy here is one of them just trying to point out that DS is also capable of 3D graphics. has anyone even seen or played the Mettroid Hunters demo that comes with the system? looks comparable to the first metroid prime almost.

Halo 2.5 will drive Xbox 2 sales though the roof.

H2 has sold 5,000,000+ copies (last checked on 12/03/04, could be more) and registered 900,000 unique Xbox Live accounts. I know there isn't many Xbox owners compared to PS2 owners, but I can't think of one that doesn't have Halo 2.

i think people are going to use the PSP for more than just games. that's where sony has the advantage.

Sony's Pros:
+ brand name recognition
+ huge sucess rate with the PS1 and 2
+ massive 3rd party support
+ practical technology (use of a disc drive, memory stick)

Sony's Cons:
- price. ($200 for the system, $50 per game)
- reliability

Nintendo's Pros:
+ 1st party games
+ price
+ durability
+ 15+ years of being the best in the handheld industry

Nintendo's Cons:
- seen as a kid's toy
- pointless technology (stylus pen, touch screen)
- if the game isn't made by nintendo, it's usually crap

it's going to come down to $$. if the DS can undercut the PSP by 50%, it'll keep pace no problem.

I was going to buy both for myself, but after trying the one I got for my brother, I'm just waiting for the PSP.

Agree, PSP offers more than just gaming.

I've been a die-hard Nintendo fan for years, owned every system since original NES... (minus Virtua Boy) and I think they're relying too much on their multi-player games rather than many quality games. I was disappointed with the DS.
