Sony's Pros:
+ brand name recognition
+ huge sucess rate with the PS1 and 2
+ massive 3rd party support
+ practical technology (use of a disc drive, memory stick)
Sony's Cons:
- price. ($200 for the system, $50 per game)
- reliability
Nintendo's Pros:
+ 1st party games
+ price
+ durability
+ 15+ years of being the best in the handheld industry
Nintendo's Cons:
- seen as a kid's toy
- pointless technology (stylus pen, touch screen)
- if the game isn't made by nintendo, it's usually crap
it's going to come down to $$. if the DS can undercut the PSP by 50%, it'll keep pace no problem.
