Odd, shouldn't happen unless maybe the axle starts flying around and breaks the tie rod.

Not really until it gets bad, then you might feel it through the steering.

I jsut had my left front axle replaced in September. I had been driving with it bent like a mofo for almost 2 years. The ride was terrible. When i got to about 50mph and above, the steering wheel shook so bad that, and i swear this to you, my arms would go numb.

Last summer Honda told me that my CV boots were bad...i havent gotten them replaced yet and havent had any problems as of yet *knocks on wood*

How the hell did you deal with that?
Holy crap, I would kill someone to get the money to fix that and then do it in the freezing cold with my bare hands before I dealt with it for more than a day.

I didnt have the money what so ever to have it fixed. I actually had to relearn to drive my car once it was fixed...because when it was that bad, there were certain speeds, like between 75 and 80 where it wouldnt shake...only when accelerating though. Decelerating it shook all the time, any speed from 50 and up. It wasn't bad unless i was making a long drive (45 minutes+ )

My mom actually took the car while i was in CA to have it fixed. She was worried about me driving it anymore like that, especially with winter coming up.

edit*** and it wasnt like that for 2 years straight. I was in an accident 2 winters ago and thats when it got bent all to hell. But the symptoms didnt start showing up until this past year.

See.. I was doing some reading on bad CV joints just now.. and the common response is a "click-click-click" while turning type of thing

I hear one *THUNK* occasionaly when I turn, occasionaly when starting from a stop and occasionaly when going over bumps.

But, I know it's not a normal *THUNK* as I can feel it, as well....

Hmmmm...that might be different.
Check to see if your wheels have play, basically go out to your car, grab the top of each front tire and pull it hard to see it it moves. It should stay solid aside from the tire flex. If so it could be a bad bushing. You can also check to see if your CV 's are bad. Look under the hood way down to see if you can see the axles. The boot itself will be torn if they are bad. If not try to get under the car and see. Pull the folds of the boots apart to check for cracks or tears.
