Well your next alternative for something rain-oriented from tirerack is the Dunlop SP 9000 at $106 a pop. So you might want to compare the T1-S to that and see what each comes to after shipping.
Or there's the Avon Tech M500 at $77 a pop from tirerack. Reasonably equivalent to the ES100 in the dry, better in the wet.

h:Available in 195/55/15 and 205/50/15.... I think I should get the 205's though...
