my bad.
But 44 outside and with no heat on, it's not gonna be much hotter inside his room. Our power went out last year for about a week, and the outside temp was about 40, and inside about 45...all week long. That was some cold shit.

Yea, we had the same problem.

Electronics give off A LOT of heat. That's helping to heat his house and his room. At any given time, my room is usually about 5-10 degrees warmer b/c of my computer.

I thought this thread was gonna be about someone who's car heater doesn't work. I had a car like that years ago, and that fvcking sucked. I never got around to tearing the dash out so I could replace the heater coil.

I don't get it. You have baseboard electric heaters but mommy says not to turn em on? I have those in my apartment and I leave them "on" almost all the time. They have thermostats. Even in cold-ass Wisconsin my electric bill is like 40 bucks a month.

My mom's live in boyfriend is the same way. In the summer we sweat to death and in the winter we freeze to death. My room is always the opposite from teh rest of the house...meaning, right now, it's freezing up here, but walk out into the hallway and it's warmer. In the summer, my room is ALWAYS the hottest. So because of that, my mom changes the thermostat to try to keep me warm or cold...and he bitches. I get snapped at if i forget to turn a light off when i walk out of the room, or if i have a light on during the day. You know, cuz i'm sure that's just breakin his wallet.

And the fact that WiLL said they haven't had that heat on in decades is a good reason not to turn it on before they clean the vents and ducts out. Especially if anyone in the house has allergies or asthma.

:dunno: I grew up using basic necessities...we had a dish washer, but used it as a storage unit...we have base board heaters, never once turned them on since we moved it...h: But yet, our eleectric bill is easily $70-$100 each month :ugh: And our townhouse really isnt that big.

BTW...its cold this morning too :exnbp:
