Well, see, if it was my parents I'd probably try to figure out why since my dad is a good judge of character (my mom hates everybody so that doesn't matter).
edit: But thinking about it they'd probably find a way to put down Jesus himself...they've already told me that they'd rather see me alone.

After dating a couple of girls who my parents didn't agree with, I also found out later why and definitely "LOVE IS BLIND".
Ask them what they disagree on. Maybe it's something simple as what one of my girlfriends didn't do. And that was to say HI! to either my mom or dad when she saw them. I never noticed it, but I find that disrespectful too.
