i used the toaster oven in my townhouse, and there were two bags of bread sittin on top of it....i haven't ever used on b4 so i left the bread on top. Hahaha. I cooked the bread along with my pot pie. HAha. I didn't know the top of it would get so freaking hot! The bread was all hard onthe outside, the plastic was melted and stuck to the top of the toaster oven, and the bread was all steamy on the inside. And while i was cooking it, my roomie was like "what are you burning!?"

Lesson learned about the toaster oven.

the worst i've done was left a candle (no container, just the candle itself) on my stove when i was cooking. wax everywhere.

Some people smoke things that smell remotely like burning plastic...
That's probably not what it is though.
