Clean house. Still don't find or come across anything? Check the fridge. The back of it can get very dusty and can sometimes give of some 
odors, especially if the compressor motor is burning dust that has collected on it. Worth a try.

i hadn't had a cigarette yet. i'm thinking it was my toaster. smell is mostly gone now.
