the lights on the side of the car were used in all ALMS races including this year's laguna race. the 3 LED's are different colors based on class and light up to show position (1 light is first, two is second, three is third). as HYBRID said, the lights are on the rear quarter, just in front of the rear wheel.
for your reference:
"Different colored lights are used to differentiate the four classes. LMP 900 cars are equipped with RED lights. LMP 675 cars have BLUE lights. GTS car lights are GREEN and GT car lights are YELLOW."

seriously...just stop...
i have nothing against you personally...i just cant stand watching the spread of misinformation.
stop posting incorrect information and i will stop correcting you. its simple!
back to the car...im hoping the effect of a full on effort from aston will have more of a trickle effect than the formula one program had at jaguar. i love the aston look but theyve been pigs for a long time. the db4 remains one of my all time favorite designs.

Back to the topic...
Is AM giving full factory support? I know Ferrari and Chevy give a lot of factory support. Interestingly I heard Chevy may be leaving IRL and leaving Honda and Toyota as the sole players.
Shifting gears...
h:
I hope AM will commit to this new racing venture fully.
But considering how Jaguar fared in F1, I wouldn't be surprised if they hit a few snags.
Oh,and given parent company Ford's financial state, where's the money coming from?
I thought they were hemorraging cash and pulled out of FI to cut their losses?

I hope Aston Martin learns from the mistakes others made and makes this a factory venture. A private effort may not be as successful.

to side track a little. this past sunday I was coming back from work and just as I was passing Bernel(sp?) exit I saw a truck pulling a trailer with a GT40 on it and a GT40 behind it following the truck/trailer!
I just about pissed my pants! I don't know enough about the kit version to tell if they were the real thing or not. However, the one on the trailer has the historically correct black with yellow lettering CA plates.
Yes that made it all worth working 28.5hrs of OT last week
BTW you have to show up on saturday to drive my car again
