All this could have been avoid if Sean (yes you) had admited that you did not know why the head lights in the picture was green.

Anyone else agree with me?

see this is your problem. you think you know it all and when you make a mistake you bite down and don't admit that you made a mistake.

your arrogance is showing through yet again, and I can understand why some people would choose to attack you.

I admit I made a mistake, green is not a color but the general idea of different colors for classes is still true. In the same vein I don't see you telling HYBRID anything?

The 3 LED to signal position 1-3 was used only a few times. Class lights are the headlights. The decals are luminiscent but when you are driving up on someone you can't see those. Most of the time a driver is told on the radio if the car behind him is a leader or not and then get flashed for a drive by. They tend to use white for LMP and yellow for GT and GTS. I don't know if any other color lights were used, I thought they did when they had more classes in Le Mans.

Back onto the topic... is Aston Martin entering the Rolex Sports car series too?

Well Rolex is going down to two classes. Ferrari hasn't been too active in Rolex and its been a Chevy show. Wouldn't they need to neuter the Chevys a little to make them equal to the Porsches?

no hes still guessing.

oh boy...here we go. sorry sean but youre wrong again.

the lights on the side of the car were used in all ALMS races including this year's laguna race. the 3 LED's are different colors based on class and light up to show position (1 light is first, two is second, three is third). as HYBRID said, the lights are on the rear quarter, just in front of the rear wheel.

for your reference:

"Different colored lights are used to differentiate the four classes. LMP 900 cars are equipped with RED lights. LMP 675 cars have BLUE lights. GTS car lights are GREEN and GT car lights are YELLOW."
