i wonder who thought this was a good idea. let's merge 1 company that's bankrupt with no clue on who their customers are and another one on the verge of getting blown away, and everything will be good because we have market presence now.

morons. sears just put the final nail in the coffin.

I was just reading that earlier. I guess both companies thought it'd be a good idea if they want to compete with Wal-Mart. Not just in products, but in number of locations.

they're so screwed. the reason people don't shop at K-Mart is for 2 reasons ...

1. the product selection is bad
2. if they do have something walmart does, it's always $3 more

if you're a discount retailer charging more, there's no way that equation = $$$. the kmart brand is tarnished and is beyond any repair.

There was a super k and 2 regular ones here, now theres just the 1 regular one.
