I wrote drivers for serial and parallel ports, it wasn't easy but there are enough resources online that can help you.

 

Ok. Go write some fully compliant drivers for the Matrox P650 and Matrox G450 and Matrox G550 video cards, for linux on x86 platform.

And they're doing a heck of a lot more than just office-work..these systems are integrated to the point where the vehicle can be given a diagnostic check remotely, and the engine management adjusted as necessary.

Soon, boost regulation and fuel maps will be revised in real-time based on GPS position. Higher peak boost in the Rockies for addtional power; less aggressive boost curve (and greater economy) for the plains.
