Consider this: most of the [Qualcomm] mobile computing systems used in interstate trucking are Windows-based. And they're doing a heck of a lot more than just office-work..these systems are integrated to the point where the vehicle can be given a diagnostic check remotely, and the engine management adjusted as necessary.
Soon, boost regulation and fuel maps will be revised in real-time based on GPS position. Higher peak boost in the Rockies for addtional power; less aggressive boost curve (and greater economy) for the plains.
