what other size would you recommend on 16" wheel?
Well you said you have Azenis right now so I assumed you had 205/50-15.

In that size your most-sticky possibilities are Pirelli PZero Nero, Goodyear F1 GS-D3, Toyo T1-S and Dunlop SP 9000.

Comments like this are equivalent to being asked if a Corvette is a fast car and you saying,

"I had a Cavalier once, and it really sucked."

No, not really. The company should make good tires across the spectrum. I question a company's integrity if their lower level products are poor.

The tires performed horribly in dry and wet, and didn't last too many miles. They were fairly loud too, and didn't get points in the ride category.

Oh, and for the analogy, a Z24 Cavalier is actually a fairly quick car with a 5 speed...along with the 2.2 ecotec 5 speeds. Fairly quick for the class.
