i wouldn't be surprised if cars like this enter the scion family. toyota is really trying to image brand their labels.

lexus = luxury, finest cars made
toyota = affordable, reliable, family cars
scion = more of an edge, bolder styling, geared towards a young professional.

Look at the direction they are taking with the Scion tC. Available blower & performance accessories available at the dealer....It supports the distinct brand strategies he's talking about

I'm not happy about seeing the Celica & MR2 names die like this, but given the circumstances, their death was inevitable.

thats what i mean.... if you look at sales numbers when they first came out with this design, they were huge, now they are small....

so its obvious people are bored with this design. why not redesign instead of pulling the models altogether?

Because Toyota is losing (if not 'has lost') the young people market and sales of the Celica have never really been stellar? I won't even get into the MR2's sales :ugh: Toyota goes for market share, not niche vehicle anymore, and the tC fills the Celica's role fine for Toyota's purposes.

around here...Celicas are about like Accords..theyre everywhere. All they need is a redesign. I really don't think they should pull it.
