Well, personally I would avoid Bryant. I think your resale value will be lower in Bryant than anywhere in Little Rock. Also, for the kind of money you are spending in Bryant you can get the same amount of house in Little Rock. I don't know why you are looking in Bryant but I can tell you that traffic in LR only has rush hour problems in certain directions and traffic from Bryant to downtown is one of the worst. If you plan on working in Bryant, traffic from West LR to Bryant is nothing.
I'd look at these MLS #s:
10066187
10068018
10068994
10070157
10066942
and my favorites,
10069442
10016044
If there's anything I can do to help you gimme a PM or an email or something.

In WLR there is the Chenal Country Club, Pleasant Valley Country Club. Both of those are private clubs that you could join. Several of the houses I listed are near the Chenal course. Water presents more of a problem. There's no lakes in LR so the only thing you can work with is the river, but that's a little sketchy. There's also 3 or 4 public courses spread throughout LR.
I don't know if you have kids or anything, but that's one of the reasons I'd avoid Bryant. Better education and opportunities in the LR public school system.

Jacksonville, Bryant, Cabot, Benton, etc. are all basically the same thing. They all originated as white flight communities that sprung up for people who work in Little Rock. Now they exist as a slightly less expensive option for people who are willing to suffer through traffic in a town of less than 300,000. I'd avoid most of them like the plague if you want to work in LR.
There are also lots of new communities and new construction in West LR. Chenal Downs is one. There are also loads of new construction sites out around Taylor Loop. A problem if you are looking for new construction in West LR (as in just built by a builder) is that most people here have strong ideas about what they want so more often they buy a lot and build their own house on it. I'd bet there's a decent amount of lots scattered throughout the LR area. Other than that, I'm not real sure about new construction. I can try to keep an eye out for you, though.
