Interesting debate overall, and admittedly both candidates did well in it.

I did find some of the comments on both sides a bit repetitive and they seemed to be going round and round. I do think that overall Kerry made a narrow victory because of his opening arguments and he stayed solid throughout.

But it does sound like Kerry is always pointing fingers at Bush and not really answering the question, "If I were President, this is what I would do differently than what Bush has done..."
That is all he ever does.

See, I've never paid any attention to all this political jibbah jabbah so I never noticed that Kerry enjoys pointing out what he believes Bush has done wrong.

From the hour that I watched, I think each candidate did alright. Bush could have made some funnier faces though

I agree. Both said the same thing over and over again. Kerry definetly spoke more eloquently than Bush but Bush never speaks well off the top of his head.

For people who do not know the topics as well as Bush haters, I think Kerry had the upper hand. He mainly bashed Bush's actions instead of laying out his plans on how he will get allies and have his other plans happen and make us safer as a country.

Well considering Kerry hasn't been in the Presidents chair as of now all he can do is point to what has been done.

At the same time all Bush can do is defend his position and point out Kerrys record as Senator.

Why is this so confusing, its not like we can live the last 4 years over and try it with Kerry in office....we only have past experiences to go on and that is what will be called into question

I was actually quite impressed with Bushs speaking tonight. It was unusually fluid and coherent (no bash intended).

I think maybe he is more comfortable when he doesn't have a premade speech:dunno:

I guess it's not really cornfoosing as it is just the fact that I have'nt kept up with this whole thing so I don't know what's really going on and everyone's view point on things
