if criminals can find a way, then why make it these weapons easily accessible?
there's one thing to have a weapons for self defense (lived 24 years without a gun, don't see why i outta start now), it's another to have some insane gun.
jeez, i don't think the police in england are even allowed to carry a gun.

the gun of choice for thugs are cheap, easily concealable weapons. Not expensive tec-9 and uzi's.... both of which are still semi-automatic, and both fire the same type of rounds that a glock fires.

That and let's not forget the fact that most violent crimes are committed with illegal guns and not with guns registered to the person committing the crime
