most of you need to read up on actualy laws, and firearm and ammunition ballistics

this is interesting as well:

legal under the ban

illegal under the ban.

functions the same as both, and fires same round just as fast:

you people that say "oh great" to this are completely misinformed and don't understand what this is about.
you sit there and go "wonderful. just what we need in the hood" or similar remarks.
do you think that a gang member who is wanted in 9 counties, sells drugs for a living, has murdered or assaulted people in the past, is REALLY going to give HALF A SHIT about making sure his gun was purchased legally, that it is semi-automatic and holds no more than 10 rounds?
use your ****ing brains.

that guy will get whatever assault rifle he feels like, with the biggest magazine he can find, make sure its automatic, make sure there are no serial numbers/other things to make ballistics untraceable, and make sure that the gun has really nothing to do with his name whatsoever.

Honestly I never found the point in a rifle here in NY since if you are shooting from that far away you are obviously a sucky hunter.

my biggest concern with this ban being lifted is, it's a step in the wrong direction.

and my view on guns is simple. the less guns the better.

you can't argue the simple fact that guns kill people, having a gun NEVER brings you anything good your way.

guns don't kill people.
people kill people.
do you even know what they classify as an "assault weapon"?
it is a gun that LOOKS like an assault weapon, but it is in fact not one. the cosmetics are similar to that of a military issue assault rifle, but the mechanics are not.
once again, it is ridiculously easy to get ahold of a TRUE assault rifle if you want one. if you want a fully-automatic machine gun, you can take a semi-automatic weapon and turn it into a fully automatic with very few steps.
i should show you the PM's Kai sent me the other day. very enlightening. and enlightenment is what you are apparently in desperate need for.

Are there any good online stores that sell fairly priced aw's? I don't really want to buy one, I'm just curious as to what the prices are now.
