where you planning on applying? harvard, hopkins, duke, upenn, columbia, ..?

 

once you get to the interview. do well on the interview and have an answer ready for, "why do you want to become a doctor?" Don't just give because I want to help people.

 

I am going to apply to hopkins and other schools around maryland. I will also apply to some schools in NY. I haven't looked into too many yet. But Hopkins, UMBC, and Suny Albany are the only ones that I'm interested in so far. But I will prolly apply to 15-20.

 

exactly, you want to let them know that you want to make da phat cash and drive the hottest rides.

 

someone also suggested to me to take summer classes at med-schools you want to get into. That way they see that you have already taken courses at that school and see that you can handle the work. So I was thining of taking some classes at Hopkins. Do you guys think that this will work or is a good idea?

never heard of that and sounds like urban legend type of advice. just like when people think if you take summer schools at the undergrad school of your choice, they think they have a better chance of getting in.

 

it does kinda make sense tho. what looks better to a school than to see that you've already given them some of your money and at the same time prove that you are up to their standards.
