Default How much can you bench press?

I'm sure this has been asked before and I'm sorry if it's a repost. Anyways I was wondering what you can bench press. I can only do about 3 reps at 60 pounds. It's not a lot I know, I've been increasing my weight slowly in the past month or so and I just decided to add on 10 pounds, I'm still doing my arm curls at 30 pounds. This is kind of embarassing. I want my arms to be big but not like Arnold big, is there a supplement I could take to help with this? After I've been working out, I noticed my arms have been getting bigger but not substantially the way I want them too. I also do about 35 push ups every other day. I try and take breaks in between. Thanks guys.

160lbs and I weigh 157. I haven't worked out in a while due to some BS that's been going on for the past several months.

Buy some protein powder and force yourself to add 10lbs on the bench every week. Form is key, don't cheat yourself by lifting too fast.

Damn now I really feel embarassed. 160 pounds. I'm sure I can lift more but I don't have the right equipment, I don't have a gym membership or anything, I just have some weights that I have at home that add up to 100 pounds. I also have some sort of protein powder at home that may work, it's from GNC and it's Pro Performance and it's 100% Whey Protein whatever that means. Anybody ever try this stuff? It tastes ok, I just haven't been using it.

You should get a gym membership, if you can't afford it take a phys. ed class at your local JC. They're around 1.5units so $26/unit x 1.5 = $39 your whole semester.

About the Protein, use it twice a day after a good meal and stay focused on a set workout routine.

I was actually thinking of taking a Karate class over at my community college and your right about the price. Thanks for the friendly advice. If you could bench 160 pounds and weigh only 157 pounds you must be in pretty damn good shape.

I weigh 195 pounds and I'm 5'7 and half and I can barely bench press 100 pounds. I need to get rid of my beer gut too. :squint:

Thanks for the compliment. But compared to most people my weight, it ain't shet. I'm still skinny so I mainly focus on big weights/low reps to work on my bulk, theeeeen I tone what I have.

If you're looking for something cardio, I recommend spin class. Bunch of whores to look at while the instructor kicks the shit out of you.

I did 155 2 1/2 years ago when I weighed 118. I haven't maxed out since then. I did rep 155 a year ago, so I'm sure it's gona up a bit, but I also weigh 138 now.

I'm sure that spin class would kick my ass, I'm not very good at cardio, about the only thing I am good at is running. How tall are you and how much less should I weigh, I have a pretty big build. What should my weight be? Probably around 170 is what I'm guessing?

spin ownz

I havent maxed out in a while. I had an injury maxing out, so I avoid maxing out alltogether. however, the last time i worked out, i was repping 150 in 6 rep set, iirc.

I really need to concentrate on my arms..
