Gen Tommy Franks just apologised for giving the president bad advice...

George Tenet did the next best thing to apologising.. he resigned his position because he knew he fawked up.

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- Retired Gen. Tommy Franks tried to take the blame Monday for President Bush's much-criticized comments declaring an end to major combat in Iraq more than a year ago.

"That's my fault, that George W. Bush said what he said on the first of May of last year, just because I asked him to," said Franks, former commander of forces in Iraq and Afghanistan."

General Franks was apologizing for the statement "mission accomplished" and not the actual war.

George Tenet should have been fired after the USS Cole, and I absolutely place blame on President Clinton for that.

In the meantime, no one currently working in the administration has apologized or taken responsibility publicly.

Saddam was much worse. He mass killed his own people time and time again. He has invaded other countries before to get what he wants. He had the power to have weapons of mass destruction and has used them in the past. He was a big threat to the world and the people of his country. Much more of a threat than that which was in the balkans. So just because the UN supported the balkan missions that was ok?

The UN is a very biased organization which does whatever it wants to serve the issues of the countries in power in the UN. It is a corrupt organization. to the UN

:werd: the UN is worthless, and corrupt. I don't know why Kerry does not recognize that we already have multi national involvment. Why do we need to get the UN involved with Iraq when there are already a bunch of nations from around the world in there already? France and Germany are not going to make a difference, they are weak when it comes to military action. Besides they were the ones benifiting from the Oil for Food program(oil for weapons is more like it). Screw them.

I think this board should do just what a motorcycle forum I visit does. NO POSTS ON POLICTICS.
People don’t look at the issues from both sides and until you can see both sides of an issue any posts or discussions are pointless.. It about the issue not the party. People seem to take on that my party can do no wrong attitude and will stand behind ass clowns who have ****ed up only because they are registered to that party. Being registered to a politically party is not like a gang you can disagree.

IM a registered Republican Yet I will not give BUSH my vote, I don’t like where he stands on immigration and what he is trying to do to get the Hispanic vote. I don’t like the fact He has brought church and state closer then they need to be.

See the issue not the party, make a change.
