that'll be neat. maybe for the 06 model year,(The Roku) haha. the miata's a sweet car but a 2+2 coupe will be something more like it.

no i beg to differ. the badge still says Corolla.

so what if it says corolla, a CTR shares its platform with a civic dx. does it mean they perform about the same?

yeah i knew someone was going to try and bring up that argument.

you think slapping on a slightly hotter motor and some springs is going to make the xrs a hot performer?

CTR is a complete package.

xrs is more like a civic si-r
a few upgrades and add on.

apples to oranges.

ya, its true, it is more like the Si-R than a CTR but they didnt only slap a motor and some stiffer springs in. i believe better tires, stiffer dampers, a strut bar here, a bigger sway bar there, it all adds up, not to forget a pretty good and up to date chassis. i'd have to say its a decent car, something reminiscent of a 99-00 Si, not in looks, but in concept.

The current Corolla looks awful IMO. So the XRS is at a disadvantage from the start.
Also, 160hp in today's sporting compact market, is not all that much, considering the price of entry...

Again, I return to my first argument.

If it were my $15K, I'd by an DB Integra and start with that. Or if you want a plebian looking sedan, get a EK Civic and go from there.
