What engine? Game engine?

It's Doom 3... it's all brand new. Very cutting edge, most people didn't even think it would run on most of todays hardware.

I have a Radeon 9800 Pro, I'm considered right in there for mid level specs for that game! I can't wait for it to come out, I've been waiting for a while, it should be a lot of fun. From what I was reading about it, the grahpics engine has features that esentially require hardware that doesn't even exist yet (beyond the new X800 and 6800 grahpics chips). We'll probably be seeing games based off this engine for a long time (we still get Quake3 based games once in a while). I watched an interview with one of the development guys and they said the next project is a completely new licence with maybe a new engine and some other development house is currently working on a wolfenstien game (WOO!). I think Aug 3rd Doom3's coming out right?
