My friend pulls people out of snow banks in his A4 quattro. They always go:

"You sure you want to do this. I mean, it's just a car" And sure enough it pulls them out without a problem.

I'd have to agree with Rick.

The WRX is a economy car with a turbo engine. A damn good economy car, but by no means a truck. Want rigidity? Go to the girly Jeep Liberty, you'll be hard pressed to find a more solid vehicle under 30k.

Light offroad duty in a WRX, sure, have some fun, but don't complain when you're clutch packs are fried and you find out your AWD system is binding up.

heh in my work trucks *F250 turbos* i got one so stuck i had to have a backhoe come across the job site to pull me out it was a day of glory i coudln't even open my doors i was so deep in the dirty shit

 

give me a break spanky. it's not an off roader. all all those things you listed doesn't turn it into a rally car. it's a sporty car with AWD, not an off road capable vehicle.

 

i see a lot of scoobys go off road. :dunno:

all a sti is is a wrx w/ a bigger engine, turbo and better suspension

i didn't say all scoobys aren't able to go off road. as i pointed out ones like outback and such are much more capable than the WRX.

I was disagreeing with Sean, when he implied that the WRX was intended for off road use.
