Yeah me to, I have NO problem with the reg. of a gun. However I think it's overkill to ban weapons based on features, model, etc... if you lived in California in the last five years you know what happened when the DOJ decided that dealers could not sell a gun until the gun passed DOJ approval. We couldn't buy anything for months unless it was on the list. End result=only expensive guns were sold. Another way for them to chisel away at our right to have them. I also think reg. barrels of guns and reg. shell casing is a stupid idea. A two dollar file can defeat a barrel reg., and a criminal could change the firing pin on the gun for hardly anything. But no let's spend millions on it anyway right?

To those who believe in access to all firearms, with or without registration -

Does that include rocket propelled grenades? Fully automatic machine guns?

Looking at the poll it's funny to see how many people want to "ban assault rifles". The media has coined the phase and people who don't know are thinking the guns are somehow more evil than a non assault rifle. Stupid..

I guess you sort of fit between the 2nd and 3rd choices? :dunno:
I have to agree...
While I can't speak on MrFatBootys motives in the creation of this poll, but I can say that I feel that this poll is far superior to the other... since it offers choices to cover a wider array opinions on gun control while the choices do not seem to be attempting to sway the vote.

I would say that fully automatic machine guns would fall under that categorey... But a RPG is a firearm AS WELL as an explosive, and explosives are a "whole 'nother can of worms."

At this time, manincamo and spankaveli have both voted for completely unrestricted firearms sales, and so I direct this to you:

Do you support the PATRIOT Act?

Are you really comfortable with the idea that an illegal immigrant could buy an unlimited quantity of automatic weapons and ammunition? In this hypothetical, the immigrant is in the country illegally because of an expired visa, and is a member of a terrorist cell.

Reasons such as this is why registration is, regrettably, needed.
