I have an R34 Skyline. The thing that helped me best is setting my Stabilizers at 5 in the front and 6 in the back. Now the understeer isn't nearly as bad.

Well..actually, now it's completely different since I've got it set up to drift.

Wow, big question. The suspension, stablizer and spring rate determine that. The heavier the car I set the suspension to stiffer (higher number) and keeping suspension and stablizer around the same amount. Spring rate is a bit more tricker and needs quite some adjustment. Go with lowest setting and set it higher and see what kinds of effects it has on your specific car.

RWD, FWD, AWD or MR all determine if the front or back suspension should be stronger/weaker.

Please find a faq from gamefaqs.com and they should explain all that to ya.

you don't need to mess with the spring rates and the ride height. specially if you don't know what your doing and if you don't know where to change from auto to manual you don't know what you are doing.

set the front camber to -3.5 and the rear camber to -2.5. that plus rear stabilzer set to 4 or 5 and the race tires will make the car corner better.

if you're going to mess with the spring rates you also have to adjust the bound and rebound on the shocks. just changing the spring rates will hurt your cornering speed. which is why i said not to mess with it for now.

btw this is from driving autoxes and learning about suspension and handling first hand. not from playing gt3
