Cops = Gay
I would have firmly, but respectfully explained the situation to them again.
If they proceed to be arrogant, I would ask for their badge numbers and names, and their supervisors name so that I could report them for harrasing me, I'd write it in a formal letter, send it registered mail, and I'd call.
That said, I have respect for cops, and can understand where they were coming from. But IMO they took it a bit too far by being assholes about it.

Chances are they have problems with ricers hanging out there sitting around with the hoods of their Civics open showing of their new intakes that just gave them 15 whp.
They probably thought thats what you were doing, and so they kicked you out. Thats just a reality of driving a Honda....ricers make it bad for everyone else. I get pulled over fairly often in my Civic just because of how it looks....its just a reality of driving the cars we do. And they took down your info just to document it. As a cop, you have to document EVERYTHING you to just to cover your ass. Every minute of your day has to be accounted for, and every person you come in contact with has to be documented pretty much. They weren't doing that to harrass you or get you in trouble....it was just documenting the incident.
i never get pulled over even when i did a burnouto in front of a cop so i guess thrs no ricers in san maghetto, represent.
but of course my accord is just lowered with stock 94 accord rims, so....
oh and no fart cannon.

Hey what mobil where you at? If it was 1 am and you left at 12:30 I'm guessing you where close to manch? Just curious what town its in, in case im ever there I'll know. How was the beach by the way? I havent been over there yet this year
See thats just retarded. Even if he was showing off his new SRI and trying to draw attention, how is that a problem? What is wrong w/ someone trying to pass the time peacefully? What would rather people do? Go spend their time street racing? WTH....
If it was a stupid HEMI-FORD-F2000-whateverthehellthoseshitboxesarecalled and a bunch of loser trash staring at their stock block the cops woudnt give a damn. The double standard is plainly :ghey:
And if they say they've better things to do at 1AM then why the f*ck arent you doing it?

You don't know what kind of activities were going on that night that caused them to be concerned, and it's not necessarily their place to explain it to you.
You don't know what might have happened in that parking lot in the past that would cause them concern. For all you know, someone got hurt their as a result of gang activity or street racing/show off activities, or the store might've been robbed recently.
The common law concept of "malingering" or loitering goes back a very long way, and is related to the ancient practice of highwaymen waiting in ambuscade.
In consequence of this ancient concept, localities are allowed to regulate malingering and loitering. If you are perceived to be just standing around waiting for something to happen, for someone to pass by, then a locality has the ability and right as a corporate body of subjects to regulate that lack of activity.
If you're there for a specific purpose, which is to say you're waiting for so-and-so who's supposed to meet you there at such-and-such a time, then that's a different story.
I honestly believe that they were being careful because of activities of which you're just entirely unaware.
