Grew up in sacramento mostly lived in LA for a year, SF and Oakland for a couple months, Fresno off and on...but mostly Sac.

I loved it when I lived there but once I moved away and came back I realized how 3rd world and ghetto Cali really is and I would rather not live there. For people to say "Cali owns all" is possibly the single most ignorant comment I have ever heard.

the only thing cali has is the weather and beaches...other than those 2 things, it's completely overrated.

its really not *that bad. plus i think being exposed to crime reminds you of what a horrible world this is. instead of being sheltered from everything in suburbia. h:

Aside from that though, every time I go to Cali I am appalled at what it looks like. garbage and graffiti everywhere, crime like mad, and general ugliness even in my favorite town of Sacramento.

Sorry guys I am a Cali boy from way back but that place has gone straight ghetto.

As LT said "beaches and weather" its all you really got IMO.

 

But every state has it's ghetto's. Not all of Oakland is ghetto. They are nice and rich parts of Oakland too. Crime, garbage and graffiti isn't all over California. I bet you can say the same thing about certain parts of Oregon or another state.
