Sorry guys I am a Cali boy from way back but that place has gone straight ghetto.
As LT said "beaches and weather" its all you really got IMO.
But every state has it's ghetto's. Not all of Oakland is ghetto. They are nice and rich parts of Oakland too. Crime, garbage and graffiti isn't all over California. I bet you can say the same thing about certain parts of Oregon or another state.
