what is the range of numbers?

 

i saw a show on discovery channel or something about people who had won the lottery.the only one i remember was a gas station attendant who had won quite a bit and spent it all on getting better accomodations for her goats then went back to work.

 

California used to call it "Lotto 6/49" which meant you had 6 numbers to choose out of 49.

I think the amount of numbers changed though.

Just to win without the sixth number you're odds of choosing the right combination is 1 in 228826080.

I'm not sure if you meant repeat number within 49 so I just multiplied 49x48x47x46x45.
And of course there's no way they sell that many tickets so you're chances are really slim, that's why people rarely win. You're not just playing against everyone else. For the jackpot it would be 1 in 10068347520.

 

my dad and his coworkers had a lottery pool once and they got 5 outta 6 numbers. i think at the end they got 100 bucks out of it each dunno how many was in the pool tho. thats the closest winner(s) that i know

 

My brothers wifes little sister won the lottery 2 years ago. An 80 something million dollar jackpot that was won and split by 3 people. She gave all her bros and sis 2 mill each, including my bros wife and kept 4 mill for herself. He in turned gave my parents a cool 100 g's. I tell ya that 100 g's turned my familys life around.

The chick that won...all her family from both sides of the parents all came out with open hands wanting a piece. The moms side of the family got some, but the dads side didnt get shiet and are all pissed.
