well if you really want to dive into it...
then I would remove all non essential cards then try it with just the usb card.

[rant] price of computer parts are all about the same to make. The more expensive ones are not better engineered or better made. The difference in price pays for the support and the warranty you get on the card. This is one of the things that I really made me proud to work for Adaptec. 3 year phone support and 3 year warranty on the cards. Even if you happen to fry your card or if there was a lightning strike [/rant]

The above rant is not directed anyone. It is just a rant.

if you do it will make sure you back up your registry and back up your shit.

that has potential to kill your OS

If you've had it for less than 30 days then they should are obligated to help you out somehow. Call them up and ask for the RMA or Tech support department and complain that it doesn't work. see if they will get you another one or help you on getting it to work

you have to let it search the hard drive not the cd rom

what am i going to save it for? h:

and with a hub, dont they share the power and bandwidth from a single USB slot and just split it?

i have 2 usb slots on my motherboard. one goes to my printer, the other goes to my keyboard. then on the keyboard, there are 2 additional usb ports that stems off. one is for my mouse, one is for my digicam. when i unplug the digicam, and lets say put in my wireless adapter, i get a message saying im drawing too much power...

i did both. there was an .exe on the cd-rom. i clicked it and it downloaded a file to c:\windows\drivers. then i run thw wizard and point it right into that folder. then i get that pop up message.

i do the same thing on my spare computer (not on SP1) and it installed just fine. weird.
