I think I remember seeing that his wife caught the radio before it hit the water and threw it out of the tub. I also think that the circuit breaker would blow before it would kill you. You never know, though.

BTW if you delete a file and have this there will be absolutely no way to reclaim it and I am not sure that they work very well and may be a lot of hype in the long run.

It depends on which outlet he plugged it into. If he plugged it into the outlet in the bathroom, those are most likly protected by a GFI circuit breaker. Those will pop off the instant a direct short occurs. If he was on a conventional breaker, or one the fridge was plugged into, it will take a little while for the breaker to pop. A lot of those have built-in delays in them to account for a motor starting.
