anyways, cars lookin great doood (as always).... caught the thread over on H-T too :chuckles:

edit: that window trim on the rear driver side window looks like its starting to chip. had that happen on mine too, just got a blowtorch/heatgun and slowly removed all of it (scraped most with razor blade), and then just painted it black and has held up since.

thanks for the positive feedback. im glad it isnt everyone's style. theres seems to be a lot of followers that build their cars the way others want them to be.

excuse you. im sorry, but i didnt see any grain on the pictures. unless you had some kind of photo loupe to find grain on the digital pictures on your computer screen, you might be mistaken for the paint chips on my car.

i dont have a "good quality" mode on my camera. the camera settings were set to full manual settings at 100 ISO, F4, at .8 seconds on 1024x768 pixels as far as i remember. lighting conditions were at sunset at around 745 pm. i dont use point and shoot settings and there is no way you can get the pictures i took in this case with "auto" settings.

perhaps "grainy" was the wrong term... more like "unsharp"... its like that on my work comp also... especially around the wheel areas....

you mods need to chill and not be so uptight about constructive comments like mine

constructive comments? i can do a search on 90 percent of your posts. none of them being "constructive" at all.

i could care less about any negative feedback. i was just replying to your question in the same vagueness manner you posted in. im not uptight about anything posted in these forums. as many of others know, im really laid back and usually play along.

i started by heating up the molding piece and then slowly using a razor or flat head, scrapped every piece off of it, should be bare metal after that. Masked off the window and door and sprayed the first coat with primer just so it would stick because i had trouble with it sticking to the metal. after the primer, i just used a flat black or semi-flat black (cant remmeber now), and put 3 coats on. Has held up through the winter and is still fine. hih

sounds good. i will probably repaint those molding and my bumpers as a summer project.

i have the flat bumper spray that works really well to sticking to bumpers and molding material. i highly recommend it if you plan to do any projects related
