Default car insurance question

Do insurance companies charge different rated depending on what color the car is? As in, the same car if it were brown vs. yellow/red, would the rate still be the same?

Random curious question.

I always heard they did but I'm guessing it depends on the company.

I dunno, but when you pay 4200/6months for insurance on 1 car.......the 50 bucks or so they charge for different colors doesn't make much of a difference..........
